About me

As your counsellor I will offer understanding, acceptance and support wherever you are at. Within our sessions you can talk about and explore your thoughts and feelings about your life, relationships in the past and present, your hurts and fears, your hopes and dreams.
I can't provide solutions though I will support you in finding your voice and your own way forward.
My main approach to therapeutic work is person centred. I'm also influenced by creative therapies, psychodynamic theory and practice and Parts Work approaches like IFS. Regardless of a counsellor's theoretical background the most important thing is having a good working relationship between counsellor and client. I aim to create a warm welcoming space within which you can bring everything you want and need to talk about, especially the things you struggle with or that have not felt heard elsewhere.
I have over 20 years experience of working as a therapist with adults in private practice and also work with children and young people in school settings.
I have an Advanced Diploma in Counselling which has been professionally validated by COSCA (the professional body for counselling and psychotherapy in Scotland). I have a Certificate in Counselling Children which is accredited by the CPCAB (Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body). I am also a member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychtherapy).
I subscribe and adhere to BACP’s code of ethics and practice. I receive regular supervision and hold suitable professional insurance. The counselling sessions that I offer are confidential. Sessions are weekly, cost £55 and last for 1 hour.
I see clients online via Skype and in person at Napiers Clinic on Fridays from 9am-6pm.
Hopefully we can find an appointment time to suit you.
